I began my media career in the Silicon Valley bureau of CNBC, where I was courtroom producer for the historic Napster v. A&M Records case in 2000. Additionally, I covered the economic downturn, dot com bust, and international product releases by Apple, Intel, and Cisco Systems.
After my stint at CNBC, I spent three years at TechTV, producing technology news and feature programs on automotive design, the 100th anniversary of flight, and the controversies surrounding digital file sharing and piracy including Music Wars, an hour-long feature program honored with a Beacon Award by Cable Television Public Affairs Association in 2004. My work appeared in over seventy countries, on CNN Headline News, and on ABC World News Now.
In July of 2004, I began working with Bader TV News, covering releases by Nike, Electronic Arts, and Ubisoft. Soon after, I was tapped to assist the production team of ABC’s Good Morning America at the trial of Scott Peterson in Redwood City, California.
In December 2004, I accepted a reporting position with KION 46 and KCBA Fox 35, where I covered crime, local government, and education in the Central Coast areas of California.
Upon moving to New Mexico in early 2006, I began work as a freelance reporter, on-camera host, and producer. I wrote for U.S News & World Reports' U.S. News Ventures, NewsFactor, All Headline News, Tonic.com, the Curbside Catwalk section of Bluefly.com, Hiragana Times, Oyster Boy Review, and New Moon Magazine, among others.
On the television front, I hosted Buzzed into the 505 on New Mexico ’s CW network, and contributed to Fashion Television’s globetrotting shopping show, Shop the World.
My first documentary, The Firestarters, a short film on the collaboration between acclaimed glass blower Chris Tarpley and potter Nathan Youngblood, was awarded third place at Silver City Film Festival in 2006.
I am also a skilled voice actor, with over a decade of experience in commercial, narration, and animation work. I've voiced spots for KTVU/KICU, Intel, Splunk, Pandora, Vibio, Mertado, Bleacher Reporter, New Mexico's CW, FOX Network’s Super Fan Radio Sweeps Promo, Home Video Tour, LA Fashion Corner, Monterey Credit Union, and Santa Fe Community Foundation. I've also been the voice of several voicemail systems, and I've done narration work with Kinesys Automation and Indigo Films. For more of my voiceover work, please check out my alternate website.
Prior to my media career, I spent two years in Saitama, Japan, working as a stage actress and a voice actor for DHC Corporation and Frontier Enterprises. I graduated from the University of San Francisco with a degree in English, from the Honors Program in the Humanities.
An avid ballet enthusiast, I'm working toward mastering the double pirouette and an elegant arabesque. I'm also an eternal student of the Japanese language, creative non-fiction writing, and producing short films.
I am a native of Portland, Oregon, but I have spent the majority of my life in California. In late 2014, my family relocated to Westwood, Massachusetts.
